The Gingerbread Man - Free Downloads!

Happy December!

One of my very favorite things to teach in December is The Gingerbread Man.  There are just so many things to do with this awesome theme.  It is especially great if you are not allowed to teach about Christmas, because it is still seasonal, fun and can be integrated into any area of the curriculum.

{HERE} is a great resource with tons of ideas.  I am going to be using the Dot to Dot, Complete the Drawing and Cut and Paste this week.  I am also including a free download of a classroom book that I have made in years past.  The kids simply write their names on the line and illustrate a picture of themselves chasing the gingerbread man.  You could also incorporate their photographs if you wanted to.  To differentiate, you could also have them circle letters or sight words.  Once it is all put together it is super cute and they LOVE to sit and read it!  I included a cover page for pre-k, kindergarten, first grade and a blank one as well.  Enjoy!
