MUST READ!

Okay, so this is not exactly related to teaching, or to kindergarten, BUT you must read this book!  I started it on the beach and devoured it in two days.  It is one of the most wonderfully written books I have ever read, and the message is powerful to say the least.  The Help is Kathryn Stockett's first novel.  It is fictional, but many of the details are based on her childhood experiences in Mississippi in the racially charged early 1960's.  I highly recommend that you grab this book and give it a read before school starts up.  It is absolutely positively worth it!

Also, a movie based on this novel is coming out on August 12th.  The trailer looks great... I can't wait to see it!  I might have to read the book again before then, too :)

I enjoyed this book, read it a while back, but have to say that I thought the ending was very anti-climatic. I wanted more or something more dramatic!

I read this book as soon as we finished school for the summer. I loved it! Can't wait for the movie. I am a brand new blogger - yours is wonderful. Hope I can share ideas soon! :)My Kindergarten Kids

Just finished this at the beach after Ms. P and I couldn't put it down. So good. I love a story from different perspectives.
